Livin' off the fat of the land and random pics

Our garden has just taken off. We love it. We have had zuchini (sp) almost every meal it seems like. We've had peas, spinach, summer squash and cucumbers oh and a few red cherry tomatoes. It's been so fun to go out and pick every day. It's getting so big it's hard to get around.

Watching some fireworks for the 24th. We had a b-bque at our neighbors house and played games. Good times.

Today we went on a little hike and it was so hot. Thier poor red faces. this one is blurry but I thought it was a funny face of Joelle. She was so worried about this piece of bread that fell into the water. She kept saying, "uh-oh, uh-oh, get it mom." over and over.

We are so blessed.

Joe and Ashley are going to laugh at this title because when they were down here we talked about this blog that joked around about mormon blogs and I think it's called "seriously so blessed". But I just read in the ensign an article about sharing the gospel on the internet. So I wanted to share our recent blessings. Jon just got one of the sholarships he applied for that will help us out quite a bit next semester. We have been concerned about finances because I haven't had as much work as we planned for and Jon always says, "haven't we been taken care of so far?" He's right and I know we are so blessed because we pay our tithing and fast offerings. So this is just another answer to our prayers. I'm so grateful for my Heavenly Father and that is watching over us and answers our prayers.

Back into real life.

So I have finally finished all three Twilight books. My house shows that all I have been doing is reading and meeting just the basic needs of my children. Poor kids with an absent minded mom the past little while. I did love the books and am excited for the fourth one.
We did go to Jon's family reunion, the Atkinder. It was in Bear Lake and so beautiful. Fun to see all his cousins, aunts, uncles, Grandma etc. And it was Jon's birthday on the 15 and we celebrated last night on a date. It was great to get out just us 2 and talk and have fun. We loved it. I love him and appreciate all he has done for me. Reading these romance books has made me remember our dating days, the newness of love, how giddy you get and how that person is all you think about. It has been fun to relight those flames and memories. Not that my love has faded at all, it's stronger than the puppy love, it is just fun to remember how great and exciting love is and still can be.
Here's some pictures of the past little bit. They are a little out of order...

I'm in charge of Primary activities and we had a children's parade this morning. It was fun to decorate bikes, scooters, wagons, even a horse, etc and walk around the circle.

My friends and I have been mountain biking once a week and it's been so great. I love getting in the outdoors.

We went to run through the sprinklers with my cousin Melissa and her little girl Mckenna. Here are the girls sunbathing and Randon clinging to mom's lovely thighs.

Quite the crew of 2 and 3 year olds at our reunion. There were more too. they were being cute on G-ma's and G-pa's bed.

Joelle's bike again.

Memories.

This will be fun to see what people put.

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Festivities of summer.

We have had a fun summer so far. We have gone on a few field trips with friends and family like the Bean Museum at BYU, Gateway mall with the fountains, Clark Planetarium and just running through the sprinklers. Updates are that Randon is “pretty much” walking now. It’s so cute to see the unstable, hands out walk. I’ll have to get some video on our still camera so I can post it. He also sings “eieio” on old mcdonald. It’s super cute. I have been out of commission the last little while due to getting stuck in the Twilight book. I think I’m hooked. So if you don’t see any posts for a while that is probably why. Jon is almost done with this semester, a few more weeks then it’s time for clinicals. Yeah. Joelle is doing great and trying to be so independent. A little frustrating at times but it is fun that she gets excited to go on our field trips. On the fourth we roasted marshmallows outside and put up Joelle’s little tent and set up the air mattress and slept outside. We watched a movie on our laptop. Randon did sleep inside though. We had a fun time and Joelle thought she was so big and loved the popcorn.
THis is Joelle on the slip and slide on the hill. It's a big hit.
So Randon has been so messy lately. I was having a frustrating night and go outside and Joelle had dumped dirt all over his head. I thought I should just take a picture instead of yell.

This one is just funny, he gets himself into pickles.

There's Randon walking... toward the fire. Don't worry nothing happened.
Very serious

Messy smores.
Watching a movie outside.

My dollar store purchase, it's perfect for Randon.

Marsha and Joelle doing the news (notice the TV off to the right that they are in)

Walking on the moon at the Clark planetarium

At the gateway with the fountains. I wish Joelle wanted to get more into it but she was scared. Randon loved walking around and getting splashed.

Busy weekend

We have had a busy weekend. We went to Tremonton because Jon had a clinic in Honeyville on Friday and we visited with old roomies, road motorcycles (well, the kids and g-pa) and then went to Logan where we did a triathlon with sisters and cousins and friends. We did 4 relay teams and there were only 7 teams so we all placed because Jon and Taylor were the only co-ed team. It was a lot of fun. Brit and I were a team and after I swam and biked I decided to just run with Brit anyway so I got to do it all and only pay to do 2. Jon swam and ran and we had a great time with everyone. Joelle and Randon played with G-pa and G-ma in Logan. then we headed to Idaho for a 10 year class reunion for Jon. We had a good time there and stayed with G-ma Atkin which was a delight.

Swimming, curious George, bedhead and painting in Tremonton

Joelle is constantly asking to go run through the sprinkers and she loves it. Today we actually went to the $2 days at the pool near by. We had a good time there.

Randon perferred to eat than swim. I was surprised because he always likes baths. He just likes to explore by himself and I held him too much.

Joelle didn't mind the snacks either.

I just thought her hair was so funny when she woke up.

I found him doing this the other morning. He is just so curious about everything. His nickname should be George.

Funny squish face.
Onnika (holli's little girl) pushing Randon in a doll stroller.

My parents have been remodeling thier kitchen and me, Taylor and Brittany (named as shown) and my mom glazed the living room with rags. It was a good time. My arm was pretty tired from blotting allll day. I even had dreams about it.
