Honeymoon

No, I'm not going on a second honeymoon, although I really want go somewhere when Jon finishes school. But I am in the honeymoon period of pregnancy and love the new energy, I'm still tired in the mornings no matter how much sleep I get but I am able to go on 20 mile bike rides and walks on the same day and feel pretty good. I've been loving this weather. And I even forget that I"m pregnant sometimes. Don't get me wrong, I still have siatic (sp) pain sometimes and things but overall I feel great. I'll enjoy it while I can.
Here's an attempt to get a picture of my tummy since family asks if I'm showing yet. What do you think. (only say it if it's nice:)
I forgot to say that this is me at 15 weeks

Boo at the Zoo and Barnyard Boo

I don't remember doing this much for halloween but it seems like it should be over already since we've dressed up twice and done so much and halloween isn't even here yet, but it is a lot more fun with kids to really get into it.

Here is Boo at the zoo. I went with my cousin Melissa and her husband Jake, their little girl Makenna and her friend Ainsley. The girls loved it. They had candy to hand out and see the animals, if we could with the thousands of people there.

We had lots of wings. Two Tinker Bells and a butterfly.

This is Barnyard Boo for family night. They had some fun halloween stuff to do.

Randon in the cookie house, it was a nice break from the cold. He went right for the bench with the movie.

Of course the pony rides. We should have just got back in line for this, it was their favorite.

Randon loved the ponies this time. At first he was a little nervous but then he loved it and cried when we had to get off.

On the hay ride we saw this headless horseman on the horizon that looked fake then the horse started moving. It was kind of creepy then he rode right by us. Pretty funny.

Jon was actually able to come and we loved having him there.

We'll be back for more Halloween pictures this weekend.

Tried and True recipes

I didn't really do fall recipes, but these ones are great. I was going to do a butternut squash soup recipe but my sis-in-law who did this, well her husband hates squash, so in tribute to Joe I will not do it. but it is a great recipe if anyone wants it.

I found this in a kid magazine and we loved it.

1/3 cup shredded carrot
Directions:Over low heat cook peanut butter, water, soy sauce, honey, ginger and parsley for 5-10 minutes. Toss with cooked rotelli, steamed broccoli and carrot.
Number Of Servings:makes 4 cups
Title: Linguini with white clam sauce
This is so nummy.

2 cans chopped clams (save the liquid)

1-2 cloves garlic
2 T parsley flakes
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup canned milk
2-3 T parmesan
cheesesalt and pepper to taste
Directions:Melt butter in a heavy pan. Add clams, garlic & parsley flakes. Cook until clams loose pink color. Add soup, clams, liquid, & milk & whisk smooth. Simmer 20 min. Add parmesan cheese. Serve over linguini.

Pumpkins

For family night we carved pumpkins. They turned out pretty good. Let's hope they last til Halloween.

Joelle chose the tree and Randon chose the cat. I carved the cat and Jon did the tree. Mine was a lot easier.
This is a fun hiding spot for them. I hate it because I have to refold all the blankets but oh well. Check out Randon's poor bruises on his forhead. I forgot to get pictures when they were bigger. He just keeps falling because he's climbing on everything.

Halloween carnival, hike, projects

a hike with my old high school friend from Vernal, Annalee. it was so great to see her and her kids.

Our costumes. I'm in a wind storm. I thought this was pretty funny but people just asked if I was homeless. It would've been better if Jon was with me too, but he had class and a paper. Joelle is a butterfly and Randon's a frog. Sorry the lighting is bad in this pic. we'll do more around halloween.

Again, sorry about the flash but these are some of my projects lately. Flower barrets for Joelle's hair and necklaces (some Christmas gifts).

And the pumpkins I've been sewing. My mom made some like these for us when we were little, so I thought I would try to do it. they look a little different but fun still. Now I just need to finish the rest up. I"m doing a bunch at a time.

Random events.

Randon trying his hand with a spoon. I don't know how much got in his mouth.

Joelle trying to be messy too.

Jon's brother Richard hit heads with another guy during a rugby game, he had to get stitches and looked pretty cool.

G-ma Shepherd took the kids on a walk while Brittany and I ran. They loved it.

Brushing teeth. Check out poor Randon's bonk (3 in the same spot)

We picked all, well most our winter squash. It will be nice to eat something besides summer squash and zuchinni.

Randon loves this song on mine and Brittany's phone. As soon as he hears them he starts to dance. He comes over and mumbles something and fusses a little till we push play. It is just so funny. He loves music. and he's got quite the moves too.

Explanation

So I have been a complete slacker in the blogging world, well mainly on my own blog. Here's my excuses. First we've been out of town a lot, to Boise, Logan, Tremonton etc. Here are some pictures but I didn't get a ton of our trips. I went on a beautiful mountain bike ride up Logan canyon and didn't have my camera, but it was so pretty with all the changing leaves. We also went to Thanksgiving Point and saw farm animals and rode ponies. The kids loved it.

Mountain biking with Brittany and Ash (sisters). It was cold and short but fun.

This is in Tremonton. Joelle wanted to sleep with Grandma but not Grandpa. We told her he went along with the package. Needless to say, she ended up with me that night.

This is at the farm at thanksgiving point. Look at Joelle's face:)
In Boise with G-pa Lewis.

Back at the farm.

the cow eating Randon's shoe. It was making me nervous, him too.

And here's the other reason that I haven't posted forever...

I have just been so tired. I am due April 19. I'm not as sick anymore which is nice, it's just my ambition that is lacking. Hopefully that will be better in a few weeks.
