Great book

For book group we read the Travelor's Gift by Andy Andrews. It is a great book about 7 tips to personal success. It has motivated me to be more forgiving and happy and to chose to be a person of action and that I have control of my future. It is a great book and I highly recomment it. It is a quick read.

My sister put this picture up on her blog. I thought Joelle's face was so funny. We just had her mullet trimmed. I am thinking about doing a cute little bob or something. Are you up for it Brit?

Fathers and Sons & Mothers and Daughters

We had a fun weekend, Jon and Randon went on a campout for fathers and sons. I thought he was pretty brave to take a baby alone. What a man! I was a little nervous because it was so cold but our neighbors took their motor home and let them sleep in that. So that was good. They had a good time and only took 1 picture (below). Joelle and I had a girls night out. We went to "Horton Hears a Who". Her first movie. She loved it. Especially the treats I got before hand and her friends popcorn. I didn't have my camera to document.
Below are some random pictures since the last post. This is our neighbor and she just got this jeep for her birthday. Joelle loved riding with her. Don't they look too grown up? It was just funny to see this little 3 year old shifting into reverse.

Last night we had smores for Family home evening. Randon loved them.

Joelle didn't want the cracker.

Any advice and swimming.

My sister and I made this cute header this weekend but for some reason it won't go in the center. Anyone know how to do that (Kim maybe)? She stayed up late trying to figure it out and couldn't get it to move. Thanks.

And you guys need to check this video out, it is so funny.

We just got back from Tremonton helping my parents paint their kitchen. We went swimming with Brittany, Holli and her kids, Mom, sis-in-laws Ashley and Regina and thier kids. It was a fun time and we got out right as we were seeing lightning. I took my bikes all the way up and didn't even get to ride because of the weather :( Here's some pics.

Lot's of kids under the age of 4.

The babies liked the hot tub, they got so cuddly. I love it.

St George trip

We stayed in some condos down in St George this last weekend. It was a great trip and a good way to finish up Jon's time off between semesters. Although, they still wanted them to read 170 pages and take a test. so needless to say, he still studied. So we didn't get a lot of time together, Jon and I because we took turns watching kids so we could go on bike rides. Between 3 families we brought 11 bikes. It was so funny because the kids didn't get to bring any, but almost each adult had 2. So it was a lot of fun but I wish we could've played more with each other. I think that calls for another vacation:)

Amy, Mallory, and Joelle. THese 2 had a ball together.

Joelle loved swimming.

Joelle wasn't smiling so we made pouty faces to see if she would smile. Didn't work.

Triathlon pictures

Here are pictures from the 4th street tri and St George tri. The 4th street tri was a fund raiser for a homeless clinic (4th street clinic), it was at the U and in a pool (yeah, shorter) and an 8 mile mountain bike, and 5k. It went well but I was pretty pooped on the run. It felt like 5 miles. I didn't train as much for this as some in the past. But it was fun.
The St George was fun b/c it was a relay and I only did the bike portion. The morning of it was so windy and the water was white capping, or had white caps, whatever. I was really nervous for our swimmer, she had had pneumonia and couldn't train as much, hence our relay so I was nervous for her swim without white caps. They started the olympic distance racers and they brought back several boat loads of people back and many swam to the shore. Most of the mile swim was against the current. So they eventually cancelled the swim. Crazy. The bike was great, hard with the wind as well but I loved my new bike that I got a few weeks ago.
Amy, me, Aubry (our team), Tricia, my other friend with a relay team. Look at all those people!

Coming in from the bike.

We passed the timing chip and off she goes.

Our team, poor Aubry didn't get to do anything.

All of our friends who did it.

Jon and I before it started. It was freezing. Maybe 40 degrees at this point.

The long awaited update.

Man, I can't believe how busy it has been lately. It's been so long. So the newest news is that the triathlon went well. I will post pictures as soon as my friend sends me them. I also chopped my hair off. You can see the pictures below. I had a spontaneous Sat. and I was in Logan so I stopped into the beauty school where my sister Brittany works and she cut it for me. Thanks Brit, I love it. It was Randon's birthday on Sun and we had a joint b-day party for him and our nephew Sam, whose 4 days younger. It was fun. They were hilarious with the cake. The time has flown by since he was born. It's crazy that he is 1.
We also went to my uncle Brian and aunt Malia's baby blessing (thier daughter, Aelyn). There are pictures from that too. The pinata pictures are from that party. The pictures are out of order, sorry.

Joelle and James

It was late and they were reading.

Present from G-ma Lorna. Thanks.

Jon got a hair cut too. He wanted to look like Randon.
