Christmas tree hunting and decorating

I am nearly done with all my Christmas shopping! Yeah, now I can really enjoy the holidays without being stressed. Here are the pictures of us in the mountains cutting the tree down. And after decorating, I didn't get to take pictures while we did it because Jon was studying and I had to keep Randon from taking down all the ornaments. He's better now though, I trained him:)

These are kind of backwards but here's the final product.

Joelle was pitching a fit and we were watching her friend Mallory so this is what we got.

We cut down 5 trees for us and others. It was awesome.

Thanksgiving festivities!

We went to Logan over the weekend for a family get together. We had a lot of fun and were able to catch up with all the Atkins. We watched the sad Byu vs Utah game, played our own football game and ate a lot of nummy food, thanks mainly to Lorna. I also cut down our Christmas tree with my Dad and sisters up in Preston, ID. I love that tradition and the tree is great. We decorated it tonight. The kids loved getting the new stuff out. I think it is going to be a little more challenging with Randon and the ornaments, so I'm trying to train him not to touch.

For thanksgiving day, we went to my uncle Mitch and aunt Morag's house with my Gram and uncle Arlen. We had a great time playing games and good food, but no pictures.

This is the snowman we built when it snowed the other day. I wish I would have taken a picture when it was leaning all the way over while melting.

Interesting results

I don't know what this thing does and how it comes to those conclusions but looks like our kids are a good blend of us. I got this from my friends blog, pretty fun.

Halloween night, apples and snow!

For Halloween we went to this party on the east side. It was awesome. Catered and everything. Then we just went trick-or-treating around there. The kids really got into it. Especially Randon. but he wanted the candy at that moment and had a hard time being patient. It was raining and kind of windy but still we had fun.

Does anyone remember my tie skirt from high school? I decided to throw it on for the party we went to. Good memories. My neighbors asked if I was a tie rack:) But I had some good compliments on it. Jon came home in his scrubs and we were late and so that worked for his costume.

Picking apples with Melissa and Makenna. We canned all day and I still am. But very grateful for apples.

It snowed today and I got out our winter stuff to see if what fit and Joelle wanted to go play (notice her capri jammies still on). It was pretty early. It didn't last long.
